Animation

Animation is the process of creating the illusion of motion by displaying a series of individual images, or frames, in rapid succession. These images can be drawings, paintings, photographs, or digital graphics that are manipulated to show changes over time. The key principle of animation is the “persistence of vision,” a phenomenon where the human eye perceives a sequence of images as a single continuous movement when they are shown quickly one after another.

Animation can be categorized into various forms, including traditional hand-drawn animation, computer-generated imagery (CGI), stop-motion animation, and puppet animation, among others. It is used in a wide range of media, including film, television, video games, and online content, often for storytelling, entertainment, artistic expression, or educational purposes. By combining visual art with sound, animation has the ability to engage audiences and convey complex ideas in an accessible and visually compelling manner.
